Al Moore will present different ways of travelling through the New Zealand Mountains. Al has been a member of the CMC for a long time and is an experienced rafter, climber and heli-ski guide.
This is a journey course covering and reviewing all aspects of the intermediate skills course but in a trip setting either in A.Pass or mt Cook area.

Practice the skills for vertical ice climbing, this will be a great fun course on the hard ice. we will be looking at anchor placement and climbing techniques. As well as relevant rescue techniques (Not crevasse rescue specificaly)
Come and Try the new Black Diamond 2008 ice climbing tools on the glacier as a aprt of the instruction course
We will be staying at Fox glacier NZAC Lodge for the night with the posibility of us driving back on the Monday 27th
This is an Advanced skills course for people who have done the
intermediate skills course or an equivelent.
Because of the nature of the course people must provide proof of prior courses to attend this course.
It will be run by an NZMGA guide at a area to be advised by your guides on confirmation of the course's running.

This course has the option to fly into Barron Saddle and walk out to Mueller hut, this will cost extra and be priced according to the number of people wanting this option.
If there are 4 or more it can happen otherwise it will be on foot.
