A new sewage system was completed in November 2001. The new toilet was christened by John Veasey with an inaugural flush. Working in wet and windy conditions, the contractors laid the new tank and drainage chamber and connected to the pipework installed by the hardworking CMC work party. A much more pleasant experience now awaits you at the hut. There are a few rules, however, as to what can and cannot go into the system. These are well noted on the wall of the toilet, so please take note. This is an organic system so "natural" products only.
The flush toilet will be shut down over winter so the long drop will stay for the hardy few who use Wyn Irwin during
this time. The water is also turned off during the winter.
