Update - its all good now, member reported back that its just got a carpet stain, but otherwise ok.
Some people have gone on a booze binge and left the hut in an unsavoury state it seems. Policeman has given them their marching orders and they are banned from bars at Mt Cook.
Robin has more details, but for now anyone going down may need a warning to consider other options until we figure what we need to do.
I have told DOC Mt Cook reception to ask anyone enquiring where the hut is, to call me first.
