Subs and Contact addresses

Hi everyone,
I've just sent out the subs by email, if you don't see it check one of several things:
- has your email changed and you've not advised us?
- has your Spam filter swallowed it?

Some people dont have emails, and paper copies will be sent only to those, plus some who prefer it that way. The next news in a few weeks will have your payment status on, as a further reminder.

Also, with the huge housing turmoil in Chch, please get us your uptodate address and contact details. Email them to me, or correct your web login address, but if you do this you MUST email me or I'll not notice its changed there, and my off-line database is the master, not the web one.

If you want to take a break from being active with the CMC, you can nominate a couple of options:
- go to a 'No Mail' version, where you still pay your sub (as a contribution to the club and its philanthropic causes!)
No mags or news will be sent, but you keep an ongoing link with us, and you can request us to send important mags like the Mountaineer etc.

- go to an inactive state, where we just freeze things, and then thaw you when you are back in the region.

If its more permanent, then resignation is the deal, just let us know what you wish.

If we seem to have missed your payment and our status is not correct for you, please tell us when you paid and by what means so we can track it down. Its quite a big job keeping on top of all you mobile folks out there, and with several of us involved as well, its possible to fall thru the cracks. Cash payments are definitely harder to track, direct credit with your member number is pretty foolproof. Cheques also dont show who on bank records so are a bit more invisible.

A couple of pleas, as always:
PLEASE just pay it right now, and get it over with. I hate the process of chasing people all year, for what is half a tank of gas, if that!

If anyone has some time on their hands, I'd love a volunteer to go thru some lists of older members who have fallen off, to see if they really intended to go, or just got lost.

PS. Member cards are a task I just cannot do right now, sorry we are well behind on this, its another significant task and keeps slipping to more important (work) priorities. Off to US for 2 weeks now.
