Folks, the Kea Conservation Trust has been in touch with the club about
the winter kea survey, with the following message....
The survey is down on its volunteer numbers this year,
and it would be great if any club members going on trips
this month would keep an eye out for kea and take a note of
any they see (or even any they don't see, a lack of kea in
kea country is still useful to know about). The numbers of
kea observed in winter over the past four years or so have
been down and there's concern over the wellbeing of their
population.
