Members, you may have noticed some changed to the website over the last little while. We'd like to hear what you think of them, and other suggestions!
If not look around and find them (as if you have a small computer screen they may not show without scrolling down...)
- a random Quotes item on the bottom right of the home page. I created this after readiing some of the really classic books by our earlier mountaineers recently, and coming across some excellent insights into the world back then.
When you come across great quotes yourself, send them to me and I'll add them!
- A recent Posts on the bottom left of the home page that shows latest items from the user contributions on the web page. Picking on these takes you to view them.
- A random pictures from the Pics Gallery now shows at the top right of the web page. Some of the formatting of this is not ideal in some browsers, and I've not had time to look deeper into sorting this.
Watch this space shortly for an incentive for you to post more of those great pics you take on outings! The mountaineer and News needs information from you to make it an interesting and informative read, so get posting!
Again email me if you have troble getting pics uploaded in the right size, and I will put them up and credit them to you.
This is another enhancement I'd like to do - to make the uploading easier with a 'resize on upload' capability - but I need some time to find the right widget and install it.
