This has had a fix done on it, it should now work normally.

Also note the new simpler operating instructions, which should have been in use since day 1 !!
1. Hold down button 1 (pilot gas enable) and keep it down while...
2. Press button 4, the Piezo spark igniter, as many times as needed to start the flame
3. After a few seconds (5 or so) let go of button 1, and the pilot will stay lit.
4. Press button 2 in. (This enables the hot-water flow-based trigger of full gas supply)
Enjoy your shower! (Not too much, conserve our gas!)
No need ever existed for complicated simultaneous button swapping!!!
5. Press button 3 to extinguish the pilot light when all showers are finished for now.
